Flu Vaccinations

Friends & Family Test

We would appreciate if you would complete our friends and family survey. You can find the leaflets in your GP Surgery. If you would like to leave a comment about the service provided by your Practice you can add your comments onto the NHS choices website. Updating contact details

It is important that your contact details are kept up to date, when booking an appointment you will be asked to confirm your contact information. If you have changed address please visit your Practice and ask for a change of address form, or alternatively fill in the form at the bottom of this screen.

Out of Hours

If the GP surgery is closed and you require medical attention please contact NHS 111 who will be able to give advice and locate the best service for you.

Appointments

 

steth_pills_diaryThe surgery aims to offer a flexible appointment system. To make an appointment either call at the reception or telephone 01282 731627 during surgery hours. We offer some pre-bookable appointments 5 days a week which can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance. The rest are booked on the day by ringing at 8.00 am.

The duration of an appointment is 10 minutes, therefore we encourage one problem per appointment. In order to prevent and reduce appointment wastage please ring and cancel your appointment if you cannot attend.

Telephoning the doctor

Telephone consultations can be arranged via reception.

Interpreters

If your first language is not English or you are deaf we are able to provide an interpreter. In addition we are happy for you to have a third party present during the consultation if you prefer this.

Chaperone Policy

In certain circumstances during an examination of an intimate nature the doctor may ask a nurse to be present. This is to protect both the doctor and the patient. If a suitable chaperone is not available an alternative appointment will be offered. A patient may of course request a chaperone to be present but this may mean that another appointment will be necessary.

Late Policy

If you are up to 10 minutes late for your appointment the doctor may ask you to wait until the end of surgery before you are seen and you will have a reduced appointment time. If you are over 10 minutes late you will not be seen and will have to make another appointment.

Missed Appointments

If you fail to attend an appointment without notice a letter will be sent to you and a copy will be stored in your records. If you fail to attend three consecutive appointments you could be removed from our list and asked to register with another GP.

Home Visits

A doctor can have five consultations in the surgery in the time it takes to do a home visit. Please try to phone the surgery before 10:00. When you call to request a home visit the reception staff will initially ask you some details so that we can record the relevant information. A doctor may then telephone you before the home visit takes place to discuss your condition.
